Terms of Service

1. Acceptance & Changes

By accessing or using Vanihla, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Vanihla after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Vanihla account or use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use Vanihla with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

• You agree to provide accurate, current information when you create your account and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account.
• Accounts are for individual, personal use — one account per person. Don't share your login or create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.
• Let us know right away at support@vanihla.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. User Content & Conduct

Vanihla is a community built around cooking. You may post cooking-related photos, recipes, reviews, comments, and related content ("User Content") through the Service. You keep ownership of what you post. By posting User Content, you grant Vanihla a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content within the Service — for example, showing your photos on your profile, in recipe covers, or in the community feed. This license exists solely to operate and improve the Service and ends when you delete the content or your account, except where copies reasonably remain in backups or where content has been shared by other users before deletion.

Vanihla has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior.

You may not post or engage in:

• Sexually explicit or pornographic material.
• Violent, graphic, or gratuitously disturbing content.
• Hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content directed at any individual or group.
• Threats, bullying, stalking, or abusive behavior toward other users.
• Illegal content, or content that promotes illegal activity.
• Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights.
• Spam, scams, or deceptive content.

We use automated filtering to screen content before it's posted, and every user can report content or block another user directly in the app. We review reports promptly, and we will remove content that violates these Terms and may suspend or terminate the accounts of users who post it or otherwise abuse the community — without notice, in serious or repeated cases.

5. Recipes & Extraction

Vanihla extracts recipes from videos and web pages you submit, using AI-assisted processing. Extracted recipes — including ingredients, quantities, instructions, and any nutrition estimates — are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of extracted or AI-assisted content. Nutrition information is an estimate, not a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice, and should not be relied on for medical decisions, allergies, or dietary restrictions — always check ingredients yourself, especially if you have a food allergy or health condition.

6. Intellectual Property

The Vanihla name, logo, app, and underlying software are owned by Vanihla and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms gives you rights to our trademarks, branding, or the Service's underlying technology beyond what's needed to use the app as intended.

We expect users to respect the intellectual property rights of others, including the creators of the videos and pages Vanihla extracts recipes from. If you believe content on Vanihla infringes your rights, contact us at support@vanihla.com and we'll investigate.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service using automated means without our permission.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or attempt to bypass its rate limits or security measures.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
• Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or engage in fraudulent behavior.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using Vanihla and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms — including the zero-tolerance content and conduct rules in Section 4 — or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to other users or to the Service. Where the violation is serious or repeated, we may do this without prior notice.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Vanihla is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that extracted recipes or nutrition estimates will be accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vanihla and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any reliance on recipe or nutrition content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
